Benefits of Creating Organic Content

I know what you’re thinking does organic content even work anymore? Yes, it does. Creating organic content is essential for online businesses as it can help increase visibility, improve brand awareness, enhance client engagement, and drive more traffic and sales.

Increased Visibility

The problem is not everyone will see your content on social media. When you create organic content that speaks to the actual problems your ideal client is looking to solve, this helps to increase visibility of your business by appearing in search engine results.

By creating high-quality content optimized with relevant keywords, you will be able to reach a larger audience and gain more exposure. Additionally, you can further expand the reach of your content when you utilize social media platforms such as Facebook or Instagram to promote your core content.

Improved Brand Awareness

How exactly does creating organic content improve brand awareness? How has brand awareness helped Marie Forleo? Marie is well known for her online business program B-Schol. I’d be surprised who hasn’t heard of Marie in the online space.

Like Marie, you can create organic content that helps improve brand awareness by focusing on one thing your coaching or business is known for. Allowing you an opportunity for your business to showcase its expertise.

A person who reads an informative blog post or watches a helpful video is more likely to subscribe to your newsletter, podcast or YouTube channel. Remember the name of your business when they are searching for similar services or products in the future. Furthermore, having quality organic content on your website increases trust, which makes potential clients feel confident about doing business with you.

Enhanced client Engagement

By regularly producing engaging organic content, such as blog posts or videos related to topics within your niche, allows clients to feel connected with you and your business while keeping them informed on your latest and greatest information. This connection encourages clients to stay loyal and share this information with others who may benefit from it.

Increased Traffic & Sales

Creating organic content is a great way to build your online presence and engage with clients. The types of content you create will depend on the goals of your business, so let's explore what options are available.

Little Note

Creating organic content is essential for online businesses as it can help increase visibility, improve brand awareness, enhance client engagement, and drive more traffic and sales. This includes: • Optimizing content with relevant keywords to reach a larger audience • Utilizing social media platforms to promote content • Showcasing expertise in their respective field • Encouraging clients to stay loyal and share information

Types of Content to Create

Blog Posts: Blog posts are one of the most popular types of content for businesses to create. They can be used to share information, promote products or services, and engage with clients. Even if you’re primary creative content in your online business is a podcast or YouTube video, your strategy must also contain blog posts, including relevant keywords and optimized titles in order to improve search engine rankings. Additionally, blog posts should be written in an engaging tone that resonates with your readers.

Videos and Podcasts: Videos and podcasts are great ways for your business to reach a wider audience and establish yourself as a thought leader in your niche. When creating videos or podcasts, it is important to focus on topics that will interest viewers or listeners while also providing valuable insights into your business’s offerings.

Social Media Posts: Social media is a powerful tool for connecting with your ideal clients online. Pick your favorite social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, to post updates about your one-on-one services, group coaching, or courses.

Why is creating content important for an online coaching business

It is important that social media posts are following the relevant trends while still feeling authentic to you. I don’t know about you, but no way this girl is dancing and pointing on social media. While yes, you do want to capture attention quickly so that users do not scroll past your post. But here’s the thing, if it makes me feel completely out of integrity, your ideal client will be able to sense that. It’s the unspoken language. Instead, use strong visuals in order to capture attention quickly from users scrolling through their feeds. Using carousel posts on Instagram is the perfect example of this.

Infographics and Visuals: Infographics are visual representations of data, making it easier for people to understand complex concepts quickly without reading long paragraphs of text first. Infographics often contain statistics related to the topic being discussed along with other relevant images like charts, graphs, maps etc. These visuals can help make your message more impactful than just words alone. Please keep in mind these too, must be authentic to your brand.

Ebooks are longer-form pieces of content that allow you to dig deeper into a particular subject matter than what would normally fit within a blog post. Ebooks are a fantastic way to grow your email list by having people subscribe to your list to receive it.

Strategies for Creating Quality Content

Research Your Ideal Client and Topics: Knowing your ideal client is key to creating quality content. Researching who you are writing for, their interests, and the problems they are actively looking to solve will help ensure that your content connects with them. A great way to do this is by creating a survey or reaching out to your ideal client and asking if they would be interested in a coffee chat so that you’re able to understand their business and pain points.

Additionally, researching trending topics in your niche can provide ideas for new content pieces or ways to update existing ones.

Keywords: Your content should include relevant keywords to help search engines understand what it is about and make it easy to find when people search online. When choosing keywords, consider what people would use when looking for information related to the topic of your article.

Optimize For Search Engines: Search engine optimization is important in making your content reach its ideal audience. This includes using meta tags such as titles and descriptions, formatting headings correctly, including internal links within the text, adding alt-text to images, and more.

Now, this is important; incorporating images and multimedia elements, maybe GIFS if that’s your thing, into a piece of written content can help break up large blocks of text, making it more engaging and visually appealing.

Additionally, adding elements such as your YouTube videos or podcast can provide additional ways for your readers to consume your content.

Creating quality content requires research, optimization, and visuals to engage your audience. Creating content can be easier and more efficient with the right tools.

Little Side Note

Creating content doesn't have to be a chore. With tools like Grammarly, Hemingway Editor, Canva, Descript, and more – you can create quality written work, stunning visuals, and professional-looking videos in no time.

Tools to Help You Create Content Easily

Creating content can be a daunting task, but luckily there are tools available to make the process easier. Writing tools like Grammarly and Hemingway Editor helps you create quality written content quickly and easily. Grammarly is an AI-powered writing assistant that helps you check for grammar, spelling, punctuation errors, and more in your writing. Grammarly was one of the very first tools I invested in and continue to invest in with my online business. Hemingway Editor is a great tool for improving readability by helping you simplify complex sentences and highlight passive voice usage. Hemingway has a free and paid version, but I continue to use the free version.

Design tools such as Canva are great options for easily creating visuals, workbooks, and social media posts. Canva provides templates that allow users to customize their graphics with text overlays, images, shapes, icons, and more. I love Canva; invest in the paid version. It’s so worth it!

Video editing software, Descript, is the only tool you need to write, record, transcribe, edit, collaborate, and share your videos and podcasts. It’s as easy as editing a word doc.

Creating content doesn't have to be a daunting task. With the right tools, you can create engaging and high-quality content easily and efficiently. Now that we've covered the tools needed to help you create great content, let's look at best practices for promoting it.

Best Practices for Promoting Your Content

Utilizing social media platforms is one of the best ways to promote your content. You can use popular platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn to reach a wider audience and get more engagement with your content. It’s important to create engaging posts that will grab people’s attention and make them want to click through to read or watch your content.

Repurposing existing content is also an effective strategy for getting more eyes on what you have created. Surprisingly, reusing content is not something that a lot of coaches do. They have been taught to always be on the content creation hampster wheel.

During a recent consultant call I heard, “For the longest time, I thought that I couldn’t use the same content for Facebook, Instagram, or my blog. I had to create new unique content for everything. I never got any clients but I have a lifetime’s worth of content.”

Friend, if this is you. Right now today, please repurpose your content. This could involve taking old blog posts or videos and transforming them into something new by adding fresh visuals or different angles on the same topic; creating infographics from data-heavy articles, or converting long-form written pieces into shorter video clips that can be shared across multiple channels quickly and efficiently.

One last thing before I move on from repurposing content. Start a social media content bank with all your post information in a project management system like Asana. Add your content to a task and schedule it to recur every 90 days or so.

Finally, monitoring performance metrics is essential in order to measure the success of any promotional efforts made around a piece of content. This could include tracking views, likes/shares/comments, measuring time spent reading/watching, looking at website analytics such as page views per session, and understanding where traffic has come from (e.g. organic search vs. referral). All these metrics give valuable insights into how successful each campaign has been, which helps inform future decisions about promotion strategies going forward.
